Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, the latest studio release from French electronic outfit M83 (named after the spiral galaxy in the Hydra constellation… look it up on Wikipedia) is a sprawling double album and M83’s most ambitious work yet. The album flows along the technicolor range of human emotion, which at times reaches for the stars and then busies itself in reveling in innocuous nostalgia. It plays almost like the soundtrack to the greatest John Hughes movie never made— a beat-driven and danceable love letter to the naivety of your youth. read more...
