WERS 88.9 fm Music Submission Guidelines

Info for Musicians and Promoters

To Submit Music to WERS, You MUST follow these guidelines:

If you know what program to send your music to, send the CD "ATTN: (Show Name)" or if you are uncertain, send to:

  1. WERS only accepts CDs & vinyl for air play consideration. Cassette tapes and/or other media will not be considered.
  2. Include information about the release on a one-sheet.
  3. Do not send us your only copy. It will not be returned to you. All music submitted to WERS becomes the property of WERS.
  4. We are under no obligation to listen to everything sent to us.
  5. Likewise, we are under no obligation to play anything. We play it if we like it. Calling our DJs and/or having your friends call our DJs and requesting your music will not get it played. If we do not deem it airworthy or if we do not like it, we will not play it.
  6. WERS will not play music with obscenities or indecent content. All submitted music must be edited in accordance with FCC standards.
  7. To follow up on music you sent to us, email music@wers.org or call Nickie Kolb at (617) 824-8084.
  8. Do not call the request line to follow up on music submissions.

WERS Concert Calendar Submissions:

WERS Reserves the right to refuse any event for any reason. Non-musical events will not be considered.

All submissions must be emailed to [Name of show]@wers.org at least two weeks before event.

All submissions must be in the following format (this is the only information we will announce on air):
    1. Main Act
    2. Supporting / Opening Act
    3. Venue and Location
    4. Date
    5. Time of show
    6. Age / Dress Restrictions

The following information is required for all submission but will not be announced on air:
    1. Value of tickets
    2. Contact name, phone number, email, and website (if available) of promoter
    3. Address and phone number of venue

If you wish to arrange ticket giveaways, you must contact the coordinator of the program by emailing: (name of show)@wers.org.
